The T.D.S. Mob was one of Boston's most powerful hip hop groups during the golden era of hip hop music. Released by the wonderful people at Diggers With Gratitude, The D.W.G. Remix E.P. featured modern day reimaginings of selections from T.D.S. Mob's catalogue. Included on this limited 12" Vinyl Record EP is Will C.'s Helltrack Re-mix for perhaps T.D.S. Mob's biggest jam, "Dope For The Folks."

At 24-years-old, Will C. has solidified an impressive discography. While crafting releases like Down The Dial with Mr. Magic and his debut album on Brick Records, Evil In The Mirror, he was the man with the ear trusted to master hundreds of releases old and new... from Cold Chillin' to Capitol Records. After serving as project coordinator for the re-release of the cult classic 1979 film, 80 Blocks From Tiffany's, he resurfaced earlier this year with Adieu Or Die, A collection of The Beach Boys classics rewired for the computer age. Other recent achievements include his music debuting on national television (BET) and Pabst Blue Ribbon pressing a limited 7" record featuring his music.
Occupying no less than 25 tracks at the time of final mix down (post ping-ponging), Will's Dope For The Folks Helltrack Re-mix was mostly put together with an MPC 1000, Roland TR-808, Oberheim DMX, two Technics SL-1200MK2 turntables, and Pro Tools. The main sample was chopped and looped over a soundscape that includes inverse reverb, VHS tape artifacts, and an array of Will's favorite production techniques. Clocking in at 118 BPM, perhaps this is what Dope For The Folks would sound like if you were running for your life, stuck on Helltrack. Let's walk this sucker.
